Sensors and switches talk to your hub over BLE Mesh, and the hub decides what happens — in your house, in milliseconds. The internet is how you reach your home from outside, not how your home reaches itself.

The hub runs a purpose-built Linux image rather than a locked-down appliance firmware. Updates arrive over the air as cryptographically signed images, and the device verifies every one before installing it.
Devices speak MQTT. The API is documented. Nothing about the product requires our servers to exist a decade from now — and that constraint shapes every decision we make about it.
